AND+FTP ™ Features

Creating a new project simply requires you to select an existing Visual Studio project file (*.csproj, *.vbproj) and either choose or definine an FTP site. When the project is open, the source project file tree and FTP site file tree appear in the main window (below). After modified files are Copied to the FTP site, the Copy Project file is normally saved in the same folder as the Visual Studio project. The Copy Project file is easily opened the next time the project is deployed.

To make the deployment process fast, the FTP site's folders/files are normally scanned only once when the project is created. Thereafter, the FTP tree structure is maintained based on the source files copied, or destination files deleted. Timestamps of source files are saved to determine which files have been modified or added since the last deployment. When the project is loaded, these files are automatically Checked as the only files to be copied to the FTP site when the project is deployed.

  1. Copy Options
Choose the files to appear in the source tree--only files needed to run the application, all project files or all files in the project folder.

  2. Color Coding
Source files that have been modified, or missing from the FTP site are clearly indicated and automatically checked for copying.

  3. Hide Files
Files that are normally not involded in the deployment can be hidden from view in either source or destination from a right-click menu.

  4. FTP Command Window
A running log of all FTP commands appears in the optional lower log window.

  5. Easy Use Options
When the application starts, the user can select from a recent project list and then click Copy. Depending on options you choose, this will automatically copy the modified files, save the copy project and close the application--two clicks to deployment

  6. FTP Sites
Site definions are easy to create and maintain. You specify the address, login information and starting (root) folder.
